AIADMK’s leader of legislature party and Public Works Minister Edapadi K. Palanisamy has been invited by Tamil Nadu Governor C. Vidayasagar Rao on Thursday at 11.30 am.
“The Governor has given appointment to Edapadi K. Palanisamy at 11.30 a.m,” said an official of the Raj Bhavan. The official however added: “Beyond this there is no information now as to the meeting agenda.”
AIADMK sources indicated that Palanisamy could be sworn in by Thursday evening itself.
Accordingly, Palanisamy left for Raj Bhavan from Golden Bay Resorts, where pro-Sasikala MLAs are lodged. He is accompanied by five MLAs.
On Wednesday evening, Palanisamy had met Rao and submitted a list of legislators supporting him and requested the Governor to invite him to form the government.
