Superstar Mahesh Babu is ahead of his arch rivals like Pawan Kalyan, jr NTR and Ram Charan in terms of his pan-Indian appeal as the satellite rights of his next Tamil-Telugu bilingual film with ace director Murugadoss has been reportedly sold for Rs 28 crore for Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages.

According to sources, a top Hindi channel has doled out the whopping sum since Mahesh is quite popular across India as well as Tamil Nadu and adding to it, director Murugadoss who scored Bollywood hits like `Ghazini’ and `Holiday’ has been a value- addition, so the heady combination made Telugu producers Tagore Madhu and N V Prasad to laugh all the way to the bank.

“Even earlier, Mahesh’s brand has been working magic since his films were bought for hefty sums for overseas and Hindi dubbing rights,” says the source and adds “Now his teaming up with Tamil director Murugadoss turned out to be heady combination and no prizes for guessing for such a fancy buy out,’ he adds.
