Hockey World League semi-final: India whip Pakistan 6-1 in characterization play-off


India pummeled Pakistan 6-1 in a 5-8 characterization play-off in the Hockey World League semi-last in London on Saturday.

India will now confront Canada for either a fifth or 6th place complete in the competition.

Saturday’s win was the second pounding for Pakistan inside seven days. In the primary match between the two sides, the scoreline was 7-1.

Ramandeep Singh scored a support, while Mandeep Singh, Talwinder, Akashdeep Singh and captain Harmanpreet Singh scored an objective each. For Pakistan, Ajaz Ahmad was the solitary objective scorer.
