Japan Wednesday again updated its assessed size of North Korea’s most recent atomic test to a yield of around 160 kilotons – more than ten times the extent of the Hiroshima bomb.

This denoted Tokyo’s second update higher after already giving evaluations of 70 and 120 kilotons.

Guard Minister Itsunori Onodera told columnists that his service’s upward modification to 160 kilotons depended on a reconsidered greatness by the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO).

“This is much more effective than their atomic tests previously,” Onodera told journalists.
