The Karnataka Police is on the chase to follow and capture the enemies of senior columnist Gauri Lankesh, who was shot dead the previous evening at her living arrangement here, police said on Wednesday.
“The three exceptional groups set up to split the case are watchful for the speculated attackers. We are taking the developments of individuals and vehicles at check posts and between state fringes,” Deputy Commissioner of Police M.N. Anucheth told IANS here.
“We have cautioned our partners in the neighboring conditions of Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu too,” said Anucheth.
Lankesh, 55, was shot dead by three unidentified men who had discharged an aggregate of seven projectiles towards her when she returned home from her office in the city.
